If you are looking to get rid of acne fast, there are a few things that you can do to help clear up your skin in a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, there are as of yet no miracle “instant” acne cures out there. While there are acne spot treatment solutions that can improve the appearance of a particularly bad zit overnight, you won’t be able to clear up your entire acne breakout instantly. By far, the most effective way to permanently clear up troublesome blemishes is to maintain clean skin. If you want to know how to get rid of acne as fast as possible, follow the steps below.

Proper Facial Care

It is absolutely essential to clean your face regularly with mild soap. You can find special acne soaps specifically designed to help treat acne. These soaps contain sulfur which is great to use against acne — it helps to purify your pores and kill the bacteria that cause the acne. After washing your face, you should use a skin toner. Skin toners help to remove excess oil on your face and maintain the proper pH balance of your skin. Try to avoid putting any product on your face that contains alcohol — this can dry out and irritate your sensitive skin which can in fact make outbreaks worse.

Acne Medications

People experiencing acne breakouts want to find the quickest and cheapest method of clearing up acne. There is a perennially popular acne treatment that has been proven to work: Benzoyl peroxide. You can find Benzoyl peroxide in any drugstore. It usually comes in several strengths (2.5%, 5%, and 10%). The higher the strength, the more irritation to your skin, however. It’s generally advisable to start off your treatment with a low strength (2.5%) and place it on your (clean) face once a day for the first week before using it twice a day. If after several weeks you don’t see an effect, you can move up to higher strengths. Try a regimen of Benzoyl Peroxide for at least a month before making a decision to continue or discontinue the treatments. It can sometimes take over a month before you see an effect — you don’t want to stop too early!

Popping Pimples a No No

As much as you may want to pop those pimples — avoid doing this! Popping pimples can spread the infection to other parts of your skin and can cause acne scaring.

Diet as an Acne Cure

Another less talked about cause and solution to the acne problem is diet. Yes, acne can be caused by diet! Your skin is a living organ – -what you feed it determines how it behaves. You should always strive to put healthy food low in saturated fat into your body. Less fat in your body means your body has less material to produce the oil in your skin that ultimately causes acne breakouts. Stick to a fast-food free diet with a good amount of natural fruits and veggies. By making informed decisions in your diet, you are giving your body the necessary fuel to help fight against that acne.

These are some of the key tips to follow to get rid of acne fast. It’s important to incorporate all these tips into your acne-fighting regimen. Sometimes, it’s not one single thing you do that cures your acne, but the combination of everything. The important thing is to be proactive in your fight against acne.

Sun worshipers that cannot afford to be on a permanent vacation can now use tanning booths whenever they wish to maintain that golden brown look. We should all now be aware of the dangers of too much sun (skin cancer) and a number of alternatives are showing success in the market to counteract these health issues.

Of course it was only a matter of time before the spray tanning system became popular owing to how quick it is. Other oils and creams that can produce a fake tan have been available for a long time but the effect they provide is not always consistent.

Manufacturers, quick to join the rush, have produced home spray tanning systems. While there are different ways to provide an alternative tan, the way to achieve it and make it longer lasting are the same. Exfoliation is the first step as this rids the body surface of the dead skin cells. What you don’t want is for people to recognize your tan is a fake by noticing paler patches of skin where the dead skin cells have dropped from your body.

When that is done, it will be necessary to moisten the skin by applying a good moisturizer all over. Always, always, always wear disposable surgical gloves when applying a self tanning cream etc. Lighter coats should always be applied to the joints and feet as they will appear darker, which is a dead giveaway that fake tan has been applied. When a spray tanning system is used a towel will be needed to wipe off any excess which could cause a streak.

Once the tanning agent (whatever type you have used) has been applied you will need to have somewhere to relax and not move while the coating dries or small smear marks might occur. These agents are notoriously good at marking clothing once they have been applied so you are advised to be careful how soon you get ready afterwards and what you intend to wear.

If possible always choose clothing that is darker and preferably something that is old and won’t matter if a stain is left on it. With a little care there is no reason why you cannot have a golden brown skin color throughout the year while keeping the method you use a secret, if you just take note of the information provided here.
