Four Things to Know Before You Buy Diet Pills

The diet pill industry has seen a large influx of new products hitting the market. Each pill has new miracle claims and provides an assortment of reasons for you to buy their product over the diet pill that appeared in the infomercial right before its own. How can you choose among so many options? How can you know which diet pill will work for you? I’ve found that if you spend a little time researching you’ll be able to quickly weed through the garbage and find the few gems that are actually effective. When researching, focus on the ingredients of the pill, the diet pill company itself, the price, and the money back guarantee.

When choosing a diet pill, the first to look at is the effectiveness of the pill. You can gauge its effectiveness by doing a little research on the ingredients contained in the diet pill. Have they been proven in independent clinical studies to aid in weight loss? Or are they just hyped up with a lot of marketing to make you think that it’s the miracle drug? Anybody can claim anything, but well documented studies aren’t easily faked (when published in peer-reviewed medical journals and the like). Make sure that you know exactly what it is that you’re putting into your body. Avoid ingredients like hoodia and acai (not that they are bad for you, but rather that they have not been proven to cause weight loss despite all the recent hype produced by the diet pill companies). The amounts of the ingredients should also be noted. If the amounts don’t match the clinically proven amounts, chances are it’s not going to be as effective. Avoid proprietary blends which hide the amounts of the ingredients included in the pill.

After ingredients, the very next thing that you should research is the company behind the diet pill. Are they reputable and trustworthy? Or have they had legal issues because of the products that they’ve sold, the claims they’ve made, or their sales processes? The diet pill industry is riddled with companies that are out there to scam you. Chances are that you won’t be the first one, so you’ll often find information on the internet about the diet pill scam if it is one. A quick search for ‘Product Name scam’ or ‘Product Name Complaint’ will usually be quite informational. A diet pill goes into your body, as such you should be very concerned about the company that is actually making the product.

Pricing is the third thing that you want to look at. And be cautious here. We suggest going middle of the road in terms of pricing. If its crazy expensive, the company is likely laughing as they receive your order. If its dirt cheap, you’re probably getting what you pay for. A quality diet pill will be in the $40 to $70 per bottle range. Caution should also be taken to avoid scams such as free trials. They often lure you in with a free trial offer and hope you don’t read the terms and conditions which states that you automatically enroll in the autoship option.

The last thing on my ‘must research’ list is the money back guarantee. If they offer anything shorter than 60 days, you should probably look elsewhere. Anything shorter and you won’t have adequate time to judge the efficacy of the product. A good company will stand behind their product because they also know that it works. Also, make sure there are no hoops to jump through in order to get your money back (often hidden in the terms and conditions). With a little research and common sense, you’ll be able to quickly determine if a diet pill is garbage or junk. These 4 areas of focus should help you in your journey.
