<p>Diet and exercise combined are an alpha male of the health world, together they represent the quickest way to lose weight.  That means taking in fewer calories than you utilize.  There&#8217;s no need to starve, and in fact periods of starvation such as missing a meal could lead to more weight gain when the body enters starvation mode, not to mention starving yourself could cause deadly damage to your body.  </p>
<p>Patience is a virtue when trying to lose weight, as with many endeavors. In the long run a smart every day diet combined with good exercise is the fastest way to lose weight.  That&#8217;s without the up and down effects you can experience from many fad diets.</p>
<p>Diet means the everyday way you eat, not a short term solution for losing weight.  Foods from each food group are part of a healthy, balanced diet.  From there adjust down calories at times when some weight loss is needed.</p>
<p>If it sounds like a daunting task consider that you likely already eat the foods necessary, just in too large quantities.  For many people it&#8217;s a simple matter of cutting down portion sizes to move from bad eating to good eating.  Even the chocolate cake or cookies can fit into a well balanced diet, if eaten in small quantities.  </p>
<p>The three no no white foods are white bread, white rice, and sugar that can be easily replaced in your daily diet.  Consuming whole grain bread instead of white bread, brown rice instead of white rice, and fruits instead of sugar rich foods are simple changes that don&#8217;t require eating much less or a dramatic change to your eating habits.  </p>
<p>The fundamentals to maintaining a healthy diet is planning.  When you fail to plan you miss meals, that leads to you over indulge sort of like binge eating.  So if you haven&#8217;t planned you can at times find yourself at the mercy of a fast food outlet or a good friend whose cooking leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to nutritious foods.  Its a good idea to plan your meals in advance, including for such occasions like parties and social gatherings after all you don&#8217;t need to e locked away just because you start eating right.  </p>
<p>All you need to do is ask a few simple questions to discover what&#8217;s on the menu and plan the days additional meals around this so as not to eat too much.  Part of the strategy is knowing that on occasions the plan will fail.  Don&#8217;t let a stumble in the diet plan discourage you from continuing.  One cheated meal doesn&#8217;t mean the whole diet, you need to consider this, it&#8217;s a lifestyle change a forever diet not just a few days diet, that has failed.</p>
<p>As for exercise perform 30 minutes of aerobic exercise seven days a week.  That&#8217;s the goal, don&#8217;t worry if you miss a day here or there.  Consider adding additional exercise to your daily routine such as parking your vehicle further from the office or store so you can have a little walk, or taking stairs to the office inplace of the elevator.</p>
<p>Simple math is good diet plus exercise equals the quickest way to lose weight.</p>

<p>As adults we all have fond childhood memories. A large portion have one in common, and that is spending endless hours bouncing along on the trampoline. Some of us had a huge trampoline that all the neighborhood kids would come and jump on that was just perfect. But then again, was it really perfect?</p>
<p>Today I am a parent, and I am faced with the decision of choosing (or, not choosing) my own urban trampoline.  Do I want a big one or a small one?  Do I even have room?  Do I have the money?</p>
<p>If you ask the kids they will nine times out ten say they want the larger trampoline. Yet the parents will often shoot their hopes down because they feel that jumping higher and having more people involved with jumping at once has a higher risk of injury. So you ask yourself what size would be best.</p>
<p>When faced with the question, the best solution is actually the larger trampoline. The only thing that should be prevented is really small children using it &#8211; as they should not be jumping anyways. Bigger children can easily remain safe on the trampoline especially if there is a safety net available.</p>
<p>Instead, your solution to the urban trampoline issue is to wait a few more years and get a small scale trampoline. You think that a child jumping one at a time and having no real danger of falling off is the safest way possible for your children to enjoy a trampoline. But is it really?</p>
<p>The truth of the matter is that it is not. Children are known for a few things, and one of them is their lack of patience. Having a single child jump on the trampoline while the others wait in line is more than likely not going to happen. Pushing, shoving, and potentially serious injury if they push someone off of the trampoline could follow. But if they all jumped at once this could all merely be avoided.</p>
<p>Instead of protecting kids from the trampoline, embrace it.  Save up your money. Get relatives or even neighbors to chip in.  Get the biggest, sturdiest one you can afford and GET THE NET FOR IT!  This way the kids can all play together and they won&#8217;t fall off.</p>
<p>Instead of chaos to get onto the trampoline, the net practically acts like a fence in case you have large numbers of children who want to jump. Send them in as groups and relax as your kids have fun on an urban trampoline; something that you fondly remember as a favorite childhood memory.</p>

<p>How do you fit a miracle in a cup? </p>
<p>For 4,000 years, the Chinese people have been using green tea as treatment for everything from headaches to depression. </p>
<p>In 1994, the Journal of National Cancer Institute published the results of an epidemiological study of Chinese men and women that showed one of the health benefits of drinking green tea is that it has possibly reduced the rate of esophageal cancer by up to 60%.</p>
<p>The rich presence of catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is the reason why green tea has so much health benefits. A powerful antioxidant, EGCG can not only inhibit the growth of cancer cells but can also destroy them without harming healthy cells. </p>
<p>A study by the University of Purdue has also concluded a research project on how a certain compound present in green tea can stop cancer cells from growing. Yet another health benefit of green tea is its ability to decrease cholesterol levels and improve the ratio between good HDL cholesterol and the bad LDL cholesterol.</p>
<p>The EGCG in green tea is a health benefit substance that can lower down LDL cholesterol levels and stop blood from forming abnormal clots (thrombosis), a leading cause of heart attacks and strokes.</p>
<p>Green tea has a lot more health benefits than other teas like oolong and black tea, even though they all come from the Camellia sinensis plant. Green tea differs because of the process used to make it. Green tea gets much of its health benefits from a steaming process that keeps the EGCG from oxidizing. Oolong and black teas go through a fermenting process which causes the EGCG be less potent.</p>
<p>One of the most exciting benefits of green tea is how it can help you to burn more calories &#8211; aiding in weight loss.  Recent studies have shown that combining green tea and caffeine is more effective in burning calories that just taking caffeine or placebo.  Scientific studies bode well for the numerous benefits of green tea.</p>
<p>Another exciting thing about green tea is that it even has bacteria-destroying properties. Studies have shown that green tea  can help prevent food poisoning and even tooth decay. The compounds found in green tea can even kill the bacteria that cause food poisoning and dental plaque to form.</p>
<p>Green tea can almost be considered a miracle in a cup.</p>

<p>In 2006 Zimmer Holdings, the world&#8217;s largest manufacturer of orthopedic devices, introduced the Zimmer Durom Cup Hip Implant in the United States. Since that time, thousands of implants have been surgically inserted into American patients. The device had been used successfully in Europe since 2003 before being tried in the U.S. Unfortunately, its road to success has been far bumpier in the U.S. than it has been in Europe, and U.S. sales have been put on hold. </p>
<p>Physicians with lawsuits for faulty implant surgeries still hanging over their heads claim that the devices were defective which caused them to fail. Zimmer, however, cites its many successes in Europe and places blame on the surgeons for having too little training in the proper methods of performing the implant. With this problem in mind, Zimmer voluntarily shut down its U.S. sales of the device until they can make correct training available to American doctors. Still, there are a lot of surgeons who say they will not use the device again despite the fact that they are offered additional training.</p>
<p>Under the laws of most states, patients who suffer from the effects of defective orthopedic devices are entitled to compensation if the device doesn&#8217;t perform as expected. These laws state that patients can be compensated for pain and suffering, medical bills, and lost wages if it is the device that is at fault. So, the battle goes on with Zimmer claiming there is nothing wrong with the design of the Durom Cup and with physicians blaming the device for the failed surgeries. </p>
<p>The idea of replacing defective hip bones and sockets isn&#8217;t a new one. Clear back in 1891 surgeons recorded doing surgeries using ivory devices in attempts to replace the femoral head that fits into the hip socket. In 1960, Dr. San Baw of Burma pioneered a method of using ivory to replaced broken hip bones. During the 20 year period that followed, Dr. Baw claimed an 88% success rate in the 300+ replacement surgeries that he performed.</p>
<p>Modern hip replacement devices owe their origin to John Charnley who pioneered a 3-part artificial hip joint. Developed in the 1970s, this device or an adaptation of it was used all over the world for over 20 years. Then, in 2003, Zimmer introduced the Durom Cup which was touted as the best hip replacement device ever created during its initial try-outs in Europe. </p>
<p>Even though the devices and surgical procedures used in hip replacements have come a long way since they were first attempted over 100 years ago, they are still prone to problems. Patients using the Zimmer Durom Cup have most often suffered the effects of their implant slipping. This happens because the device is smaller than the original human joint components. If it isn&#8217;t implanted correctly, then it may move around. Other complications can be loosening of the implanted joint and infection. Even with the risks, however, doctors still encourage patients who have serious damage in their hip joints to get the surgery done.</p>
<p>Zimmer can only hope to win the lawsuits that have been filed against it and be able to market their Durom Cup more successfully in the U.S. in the future. They still believe that their device can make a positive difference in the lives of many people if used correctly.</p>

Food is used as fuel by our bodies to make energy to do work and function properly. <p>*     Help you to monitor and increase your daily activities so that you burn more calories than you supply through food</p>
<p>*     Support and motivate you along your weight loss journey using diet specific resources and information.</p>

<p>Most good quality dance schools will showcase their pupils and institution with various recitals and performances. These reflect well on the school and assist to make their students stay focused on learning dance skills and performing in public. In addition the school can benefit from these performances with new prospective students. </p>
<p>Performances can also be a good way to judge if a school is right for your child. The standard of the performance will be a good indication of what is expected from students and, most importantly, what they can deliver. Don&#8217;t just look at what the children are doing though; spend some time examining the teachers and how they respond to those performances.</p>
<p>Opportunities to perform in front of audiences can make for thrilling finales to long periods of work. It&#8217;s a chance to see all those hours of training put into something that can be very special for everyone. It&#8217;s a chance for everyone to clear the register and prepare for something new. And it&#8217;s a chance to meet new people and develop strong friendships. </p>
<p>When they practice dance numbers students learn how to focus on certain dance skills. In order to put on a good performance it is necessary to put in a lot of practice. This is because they will need to put on a great performance when they perform before a live audience. This hard work helps students focus on certain dance skills and also teaches them discipline.</p>
<p>Performing before a live audience is a thrilling experience. No doubt there is also a certain amount of nervousness before the performance, but in the end your child will learn the value of polishing and perfecting their skills. When you take part in a public performance the dance routines must be done exactly right and this takes a lot of extra work and discipline.</p>
<p>Once your child has done more than one performance they will develop confidence in their dancing ability. This will allow them to learn at a faster pace. With added confidence in themselves they will be able to learn other skills in life much more easily. In this way dance performances will help your child in other areas of life.</p>
<p>A live recital or performance is a big goal to work for. Your child will have an objective to achieve and will focus better on their dance numbers. There is a lot of excitement surrounding these events which will give your child a greater incentive to practice and work hard on their skills.</p>
<p>Sometimes participating in a live performance can be somewhat stressful for your child, especially if it is their first one. When they participate in a live show it is a great chance for all the family and their friends to get involved. This will give added support for your child and make them feel more relaxed about the performance.</p>

<p>High intensity exercises are the key to getting a flat stomach. Ab exercises that target the abs will not give you a flat stomach. High intensity training will kick start your system and metabolism. This can be done through interval training and regular exercise.</p>
<p>Spot reduction does not work. Training the abs will not give you ripped abs. To get a flat stomach, you must train the whole body and burn fat. When you burn the fat throughout the body and the belly, the abdominal muscles under the fat will be more visible.</p>
<p>High intensity training causes a lowered oxygen situation in the muscles, which results in increased accumulation of carbon dioxide and lactic acid. Resulting in lowered muscle function.</p>
<p>When the body is resting, the body is quickly trying to get oxygen into the muscles to nourish, repair and clear the waste products in the muscles. As a result, the muscle metabolic activity is increased and needs to expend more energy to function. </p>
<p>Interval set training also creates an oxygen debt situation in the muscles. This causes the body to really increase its metabolic activity to keep providing energy to the increased physical activity, thereby increasing overall fat burning.</p>
<p>The muscles utilize the calories from the food we eat and when that is fully consumed, it turns to the fat stores on our body to provide the necessary energy. This fat burning process increases the body&#8217;s capacity to burn fat and keeps actively replenishing and repairing the muscles well after the exercise session has ended.</p>
<p>Having a regular exercise program keeps the body active in burning fat as well as efficient at providing oxygen, energy and removing waste products from the muscles. This regular training has a cumulative effect and keeps the body&#8217;s metabolism high as well as strong and healthy.</p>
<p>High intensity exercises is the best way to getting a flat stomach. By increasing your metabolism, through interval training and regular exercise you will be able to get that flat stomach that you&#8217;ve always dreamed of.</p>

<p>For six-pack abs, ab machines do not work. Many ab machines on the market either don&#8217;t target the ab muscles directly or they can cause muscle imbalances that can cause other problems or potential injury. For six-pack abs, we must focus on our diet, and increasing our metabolism.</p>
<p>Some ab machines on the market support the neck and back, not allowing them to train, while doing the exercise. This can cause imbalances as the neck and back will not get stronger, while the abs are getting stronger.</p>
<p>Some ab machines place our body in positions that may cause injury while doing the exercise. Some machines target the hip flexor muscle group rather than the abs.</p>
<p>The nutritional components of what we eat is key to achieving ripped abs. Rather than eating 3 large meals per day, increase the number of meals to 5-6 and eat smaller meals. This way you can keep a constant energy level throughout the day and keep the blood sugar levels steady.</p>
<p>Consuming lean protein and complex carbohydrates allows our body to utilize those calories with greater efficiency and increase fat burning. Also by cutting out sugar snacks, fatty foods, fast foods and carbonated beverages we are better able to control the calories that we eat and keep our body from converting the extra calories that we consume into fat.</p>
<p>Stress makes our body store excess body fat in the belly area. When we are in a stressful situation, our body stores fat in our belly because of the hormone Cortisol, which is released during stress. </p>
<p>Meditation, deep breathing, tai chi and yoga can help us manage our stress levels and help to reduce the storage of excess fat in our belly area.</p>
<p>Ab machines are not the answer to getting ripped abs. Achieving ripped abs means increasing overall metabolism through exercise, watching our diet and decreasing stress in our lives.</p>

<p>In the never-ending search for a perfect exercise/recreation vehicle, parents often turn to such unique items as jogging strollers and low rider bikes, for the purpose of including youngsters in the daily activity. Why low rider bikes and jogging strollers?</p>
<p>Running/Riding Parents</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s look at the needs of a parent who wants to take a young one along for the ride (or run). Some parents know that they will continue running as recreation and exercise even after they have children. In order to do this safely it is often necessary to find specialty equipment. A jogging stroller is certainly one method of including family members. Specially designed bikes that can accommodate small children are also on the priority list for many parents. </p>
<p>Necessity is the mother of invention. As marketing pros in this business know, young mothers needed a way to take their toddlers along when continuing a life-long habit of jogging for exercise and health. Putting on running clothes and those special shoes again after the birth of a child means a lot to young parents, but many of these folks don&#8217;t have the option of leaving the child with someone, however safe that choice might be. Enter the jogging stroller and the low rider bikes that can be perfect for this situation. With this relatively new equipment, moms could reassert their independence, get away from home for a while and include the new baby in a healthy outdoor activity. (New fathers have taken to this method of exercise quite well, according to industry figures.) Even the dog can get into the act. </p>
<p>How Much Do I Spend?</p>
<p>First of all, these strollers may be a bit more expensive than another type of infant/child stroller. Low rider bikes don&#8217;t have to be so costly, because the parents of a new baby or toddler will not be looking for the custom-designed &#8220;hot rod&#8221; bike that many think of when low rider bikes are considered. </p>
<p>Trying to save money at this point is not a good idea. Solid construction and durability are key. For a stroller, plan to spend $300 to $500 dollars. The extra cost will be worth it in the long run. A quality low rider trike may cost $500 or more, but many of these include a love seat or rumble seat with safety belts (ideal for taking the youngsters along). </p>
<p>There is also a secondary/used market for strollers and specialty bikes. Garage sales, newspaper classifieds and Web trader sites are good places to buy these items without breaking the bank.</p>
